Shot on Phone Challenge

Terms & Policies

Challenge access, payment information, refunds and prize entries for Shot on Phone Challenge.

1. The challenge and lesson access

Shot on Phone Challenge is a paid phone-filmmaking programme with 30 lessons and 30 practical posts: 1 lesson a day and 1 post every day.

Your personal 30-day lesson sequence begins when you open your first lesson. Enrollment includes lifetime lesson access, including after enrollment closes. Both joining prices include the same 30 lessons.

Challenge participation is available internationally. Joining the challenge does not, by itself, establish eligibility to win or receive a prize.

Use a recent iPhone or Android, internet access, space for footage and an editing app. You may use your preferred editor. The demonstrations use DaVinci Resolve; a new camera, gimbal, microphone, lighting kit or crew is not required to begin.

Existing members can sign in to their lessons.

2. Payment and joining dates

The advertised joining price is $245 through October 30, 2026. The joining price from October 31 is $325. Enrollment includes lifetime lesson access. You can pay in full or, where available, choose a fixed three-payment plan. The checkout sets out its payment schedule and required disclosures.

The free waitlist is separate from paid challenge enrollment.

3. Refund information

Once you access the challenge, no voluntary refund is available.

For support, use the contact form inside the challenge.

Your rights under applicable consumer law are not affected.

4. Prize entries

Prize draws are open worldwide to people over 18 years old who meet the entry requirements below. Prize participation is separate from lesson access. Entry does not guarantee a prize.

Posting your task

Lesson entries and the grand-prize entry

Each eligible task enters its lesson's prize draw. Complete and publicly post all 30 tasks by the entry deadline for 1 entry into the separate grand-prize draw. Extra versions and cross-posts do not add grand-prize entries.

There are 30 lesson-linked prize draws and a separate iPhone 18 Pro Max grand-prize draw. Advertised lesson-prize examples include microphone kits, phone gimbals, power banks and 1TB SSDs. Prize artwork is illustrative.

Blake decides which lesson-prize item each lesson-prize winner receives. He covers prize shipping charges and contacts winners directly to arrange delivery.

Entry deadline and selection

Entries close January 10, 2027 at 11:59 PM Pacific time, including that final minute. All 30 lesson-prize draws and the separate grand-prize draw take place on January 15, 2027. Winners are selected at random and contacted directly; likes, views and skill do not decide the result.

The entry deadline is fixed. Opening your first lesson later does not extend it; a late start may leave insufficient time to complete all 30 posts for the grand-prize entry.

5. Information you share

The website's waitlist forms ask for a first name and email address and submit to Kit. Paid enrollment uses the course checkout at masterclass.ridderfilms.com. Public prize-entry posts appear on the social platform where you publish them.
